The first Riftbound Regional Championship in Europe takes place at Messe Stuttgart from 6 to 8 November 2026 (Riot). This is the short version: the key details, plus the cards that appeared most in the first Radiance tournaments. If you are travelling to Stuttgart, you can sign up beforehand, so others can see who brings which trade cards.

The essentials

  • Where: Messe Stuttgart, Messepiazza 1, 70629 Stuttgart, Germany, Halls 8 + 10 (organiser)
  • When: Friday to Sunday, 6 to 8 November. Doors open at 9:00 each day, 8:30 for Premium badges. Badge pickup is Thursday 2–7 PM and Friday 8 AM–8 PM (organiser).
  • Main event: Only invited players can compete (top 64 of a Regional Qualifier). Spectating, side events and the rest of the programme are open to everyone (Riot, organiser).
  • Format: Standard with Radiance (released 23 October). Friday: 6 Swiss rounds from 10:00, best of three, 60 minutes per round. Saturday: 6 more rounds from 9:00, and 12 or more match points advance. Sunday: the top 8 play single elimination from 9:00 (schedule, Riot).
  • Decklists: Regional Championships use open decklists (Riftbound Zone).
  • Side events: Standard challenges, draft, sealed, team formats and the new Nation Clash on Saturday, where you play for the country on your badge. All times are in the official schedule.

What to bring

  • Your decks and decklists: The Standard challenges and Nation Clash require a decklist (schedule). In sealed and draft you open the boosters at the event.
  • Cards for grading: Premier Card Grading will be on site, with same-day and next-day options (organiser).
  • Trade cards: This is our own tip, not part of the programme. You will meet many players looking for cards for their decks. Decide beforehand what you would part with.

Cards that showed up most recently

Radiance has only been legal since 23 October. The biggest sample so far is the Sacramento Showdown with 755 players. We have not found a larger European breakdown yet, so Stuttgart may play out differently.

Legends:

  • Riven, The Exile (Radiance) won Sacramento (Riftbound Zone). Four of the top 8 were on Riven, with one each on Akali, Kennen, Rengar and Viktor. The top 64 held 23 Riven decks and 11 Kennen decks.
  • Kennen, Heart of the Tempest (Vendetta) won 63% of its games on Saturday in Sacramento, level with Riven, according to unofficial numbers from zero.gg (Riftbound Zone).
  • Diana, Scorn of the Moon won the Melbourne tournament with 252 players, and Riven reached the final there (Riftbound Zone).
  • Kai'Sa, Daughter of the Void is called the best counter to Riven by riftbound.gg. That is the author's assessment, there are no reliable matchup numbers yet.

  • Star-Crossed: 53%
  • Defy: 45%
  • Gust: 42%
  • Discipline: 41%
  • Vex, Apathetic and An Offer You Can't Refuse: 39% each
  • Not So Fast: 38%
  • Switcheroo: 34%
  • Zhonya's Hourglass: 33%
